Below is a translation of the Mandarin lyrics in this music video, by
Samuel Ma Huaqing:
Walking into the broad Narrow Alley
You sang the old songs of Sichuan
The Sun has risen and you put a smile on your face
Walking out of the narrow Broad Alley
You said that you like spicy dumplings
The sky starts to drizzle and you asked me to run
I want to retain you smile and give you a hug
However you wanted nothing
and asked me to remember you goodness
My smiles left in the city of hibiscus
How could I forget them
The green bricks in the Narrow Alley
and the bridge at the South Gate
Faraway ballads and the goodness of angels
If I do not find them now
I am afraid that I will turn old soon
Walking into the broad Narrow Alley
You sang the old songs of Sichuan
The Sun has risen and you put a smile on your face
My smiles left in the city of hibiscus
How could I forget them
If I do not find them now
I am afraid that I will turn old soon
I want to retain you smile and give you a hug
However you wanted nothing
and asked me to remember you goodness
My smiles left in the city of hibiscus
How could I forget them
If I do not find them now
I am afraid that I will turn old soon
