Chengdu Jinjiang Hotel is planning a renovation to build itself into a platinum 5-star hotel and to be the largest platinum 5-star hotel in southwest China.
The project will be started this year, completed in 2008, and involve a total investment of RMB500 million. After the renovation, the hotel will have more than 1000 rooms
For the new project, Chengdu Jinjiang Hotel will remove several of its buildings, such as Jinjing Garden Restaurant, and replace them with a European-style garden which will occupy nearly 10,000 sqm. They will also construct a pathway between the hotel and the nearby subway station, which will directly connect the subway station with the hotel's lobby and park.
