Chengdu News

On 18 June 1997, Chongqing was separated from Sichuan Province and became a municipality. This year is the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Chongqing Municipality. Chengdu and Chongqing share much culture and heritage, and the two cities are very intimate towards each other.

To celebrate this event, the Wuhou District People's Government of Chengdu and the Yuzhong District People's Government of Chongqing, together with the Chengdu and Chongqing tourism administrations, launched the Year of Sichuan-Chongqing Joint Tourism Bonding, a event to bond the two places together.
